RDR2 Edited Screenshots

Here's more of my edits. I changed the level input and output and that's all. Nothing big. I'm beginning to collect a lot of these screenshots... I need to sit down and sketch and paint them too!

Also.. a couple of years ago, I started to get a continuously growing urge to escape out to nature, living in a cabin and do some fishing and maybe even try to hunt. I'm probably too soft to kill something on my own though. Alas, I have no means to escape to this kind of place... so this game is the best I can do for now.

Red Dead Redemption 2 Edited Screenshots

I edited my screenshots and they look so much better now.

Red Dead Redemption 2 Screenshots

I always search for good photo references of nature so I can study them and improve. I do however have a problem finding photos that is taken from different angles and offer more perspective studying. I usually don't like to use other people's art as reference for studying since I feel like it makes me copy their style more than it teaches me. I have that mindset, but I just can't get over how realistic and beautiful the game Red Dead Redemption 2 looks. Since it's so realistic and I can pretend to be a nature photographer taking photos from any angle I want, I feel like using screenshots from the game can be great references for studying. Here's some screenshots I took yesterday, just moseying through Grizzlies East and Cumberland Forest following the Dakota River.

I think I'm going to play around with them in a photo editing program because I feel like it is a slight muddy filter over the screenshots, which is not there on the TV. I'll come back to that.

Starting practicing geometrical shapes with perspective.

As the title says, I have just begun my journey of endless practicing.

I used a screenshot of a delivery wagon from RDR2 because I couldn't find any good reference photos of a wagon like this on either google or pinterest.

I didn't use any rulers so there's multiple lines to support the shapes. I also didn't spend much time on it and it's my first wagon. Hopefully I'll be able to draw it from memory with a 3D model in my head in the future.

But as Confucius said: "A journey of a thousand miles begins with one single step."

Watercolor Textures (10 Ways to Paint Realistic Texture)

I'm usually using colored pencils to work in detail and texture, mostly because it's easier since my hands are often shaky, but I still would like to be able to do the same details with just watercolour. Time for practice.
